Slow Cooker Apple Crisp
There really isn’t a better smell in the world than walking into the house and getting a waft of apple crisp cooking on the counter in your slow cooker. It’s a great way to free up valuable oven space and still make dessert!

Ingredients

For the Apples:
- 8 Golden Delicious apples, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or extract)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons orange juice

For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
Step 1
Add apples, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, vanilla bean paste, salt, orange zest and orange juice to insert of slow cooker. Mix to combine.Step 2
Make topping by combining butter, salt, cinnamon, sugar and flour in medium bowl. Use fork to mix oats through. It should clump together. Sprinkle crisp topping over apples and top with pecans.Step 3
